Benefit describes the colours as Flame Game, a fiery orange-red, Pink Thrills, a real pink, Revved-Up Red, a cherry red, and Lusty Rose, a rosy neutral.
This set is available for $29 at Ulta, Sephora and on benefitcosmetics.com US. This set is also available in the UK for £25.50 at Debenhams and benefitcosmetics.com UK.
I was so excited when I saw these in the Ulta monthly ad back in November. It was going to be a limited edition for Christmas but they ended up keeping it on. I love the idea and the product photos looked amazing.
I got the set on my next trip to Ulta and couldn't wait to open it! The packaging is a metal case with hard foam holding the lipsticks in place.
I love the colours! It's a great range. And fire orange, a classic pink, a red, and a muted pink.
The lipsticks are creamy and smooth. The liners are too. Sadly they aren't as pigmented as I'd hoped. When I hear lipstick I think pigment. Same goes for liner. The lipsticks aren't void of pigment but it's still a little disappointing. When I think lipsticks I think pigment.

The colours themselves are nice but since the red (third in the swatches) is described as cherry red, I'm quite disappointed. The rose shade is the only one where the liner really shows. I really love the orange and the rose!
As I said the formula of the lipstick is quite smooth. It's actually quite wet. It's almost like lip gloss. Not quite there but it's also not quite the texture you would expect from the lipstick.
Was it worth the hype? I haven't seen too much since their release but I can't lie I don't think they are all that great
Was it worth the price? $29 for 4 lipsticks & liner duos seems amazing but with the lack of pigment for me, I think they are more like $15.
My swatches do look very similar to the ones on Benefit's site so it isn't like they promised pigment and there isn't any, it's just that I bought mine before I saw swatches and since they are marked as a lipstick I expected more pigment.
The formula is a little tacky for lipstick and the pigment left some to be desired for me. The rose is really pretty and is surprising the most pigmented. I'll be honest it is probably the only one I'll use if I use them at all. This is is mostly going to be a display piece for me.
That's it for this review. Thanks so much for giving it a read! I hope you enjoyed it! Have you tried the Benefit They're Real Double The Lip Lipstick and Liners? What did you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
