Here is my experience with the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick.
I was so excited to receive that as my Sephora birthday gift last year! It also came with an eyeliner which I adore.
This lipstick is smooth and soft. It isn't drying but looks matte! I love a good matte lipstick. I love the feel of this lipstick. It feels like cocoa butter! Which makes sense since it has cocoa butter in it. I actually didn't know that until now.
I wasn't super excited about the colour when I saw it online. I'm a bright reds and berries kind of gal. Nudes and roses aren't really my thing. But this shade is beautiful! It is a deep rose pink. I actually adore it.
Like other cream lipsticks, it doesn't really dry down. The only way to stop it from transferring is to do the blotting trick with a tissue. It didn't stain and removed easily.
I really didn't think I'd like the shade but I really do. It's one of the only nude like shades I own. Any day is a good day for a red or berry lip in my opinion but I might branch out and were shades like this more often.
I don't think I'll ever wear a full nude colour. I don't see the point in wearing lipstick the same colour as your lips. But more dusty rose shades are definitely going to be making their way into my collection.
It wears well and didn't crease or become blotchy. I take my lipstick off when I eat so I can't speak to the 10 hour wear time but since this is such a buttery formula I don't think it would wear that long. Especially if you leave it one while eating.
It looks great on the lips! I've worn it for about 4-6 hours at a time and it did great! This is after I blotted it a little bit as I do that with all lipstick to ensure there is no transfer.
SWATCHES:
Top with sunlight from a window and no flash. Bottom with sunlight and flash.
Excuse the fact that my hand is irritated. I took a bunch of photos all at once and swatching that much and washing them off caused some redness.
I really didn't expect to like this colour this much. I love this formula and can't wait to get more shades! It swatches just a beautiful on the lips!
Was it worth the hype? I didn't hear much about it before I got it but I think is well worth any hype it gets!
Was it worth the price? $30 for lipstick can seem a little high but I think the formula is worth it. Plus my mini seems like it would last a long time so the full size seems worth it to me.
As a lippie addict, I approve of this lipstick! It isn't drying. It's soft and smooth. It wears well and looked great!
That's it for this review. Thanks so much for giving it a read! I hope you enjoyed it! Have you tried the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick? What did you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
