I can't believe the last day of February is coming tomorrow! This year is going so fast already! I also still can't believe that I have uploaded every other day for 2 months! I set this schedule at the beginning of the year and wasn't sure I could do it but I'm going t2 months strong!
I've been having so much fun with my blog in the past 2 months! I can't wait to keep going and see with this year brings! I have a ton of fun posts planned and can't wait to keep writing and uploading!
February was pretty nice to me. It is my birth month and I had a nice day out with my dad and the following weekend my mom and I had a day together since I b-days a really close. I have still kept up to my new upload schedule and I'm loving it more than ever! February was a great month from me! Here are my favourite things from February!
MAKEUP
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I love this mascara! It makes my lashes look great and really helps them hold a curl! I love the brush shape! It's the first brush I haven't had any problems with when applying mascara! I love this mascara!
Maybelline Superstay BetterSkin Powder
Influenster sent me this powder when it came out and I really like it. It applied nicely and doesn't cake. I got the lightest shade possible and it matches pretty well. It sets my foundation well and takes away all the dewiness.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer
I finally had to try this concealer after hearing everyone rave about it. I really like it but my favourite concealer is still Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. This one is still really nice and covers well. I like the colour too. No yellow undertones.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation
I feel like I've had this foundation forever and never tried it. I finally started using it this month and really like it. It covers well and wears nice all day.I have the shade 115 but I think I need to get the shade 110 instead. 115 is light but it's a little yellow for my skin. I need the paler toned one. I still really love it though and getting it in a lighter shade is on my list for next drugstore trip.
Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon
This liner is so smooth and creamy! It glides on and looks amazing! I use it for my tightline and lid liner. It stays well and holds well to water though I would not say waterproof but there is a little left on tightline after I wash off my makeup.
Tarte Amazon Clay 12 Hour Blush
I got a mini of this blush from Sephora as the Beauty Insider b-day gift. I fell in love with it the second I put it on! This one is the exclusive colour for Sephora b-day gift called Paaarty. I really love it! It's the perfect peachy pink! It's matte and looks great!
Benefit Hoola Powder Bronzer
I love this bronzer! It has brown undertones instead of orange and it is a nice medium shade that you can blend out to be lighter or build-up to be darker. I really love the way it applies evenly and wears all day. It stays put!
It looks natural with the first layer and you can build for more colour. It is the most natural-looking bronzer I've used so far.
Real Techniques Sculpting Set
I got this set when it first came out as a limited edition. RT has now made it a full-time product! I was so excited because I really love these brushes and I didn't want to do a review of it since it was limited edition but now I can't wait to review it!
They apply the product beautifully. I love them! When I first got them I wasn't sure about a tight-packed brush for bronzer but it is amazing! And the blush brush is great too! It's nice and small so the blush doesn't go everywhere. I haven't really used the fan because I don't do highlight but it is really nice too.
Real Techniques Powder Brush
I adore this brush! It is my favourite brush I own! I use it for my powder foundation and it is amazing! It applies in a smooth even layer that looks beautiful! It is so fluffy and soft! I love this brush so much!
SKINCARE
Origins By All Greens Foaming Cleansing Mask
Origins very kindly sent me this face wash. I have been testing it out this month and I really like it. It leaves my face feeling clean and smooth! First Impressions post coming soon!
Origins RitualiTea Mind over Maté Cleansing Body Mask
Origins also sent me this body scrub. It smells of citrus and is really amazing! It exfoliated my body well and leaves it feeling clean. A lot of exfoliators break me out or make me red and this one was gentle on my skin but still left it clean. I'll also be a first impressions post of this scrub too! Coming soon!
ANIME
Attack on Titan
I fell in love with anime this year and Attack on Titan is one of my favourites. It's about A civilization of people who live behind 3 layer circle giant walls to keep out the titans. It's been 107 years since the titans appeared and 100 years since the walls went up but one day a titan 5 times bigger than ever seen before appears and destroys the outermost wall.
The main character, Eren, is a kid when the first attack happens and after 2 years he decides to join the Scout Regiment and fight the titans but a big twist changes everything.
Season 2 comes out in April and I can't wait!
TV SHOWS
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I think everyone knows or has at least heard of Buffy. If you haven't the show is about 17-year-old Buffy who's destiny is to be the slayer. She has to train to kill vampires and other supernatural baddies. I love supernatural investigation shows so I got hooked pretty quickly.
Jessica Jones
This is a Netflix Original. It is based on the Marvel Jessica Jones comics. She is a girl that was given superhuman strength after a car crash. The story starts a year after she escaped psychopath named Kilgrave who can control minds. He has taken another girl hostage and Jessica has to save her. Jessica then starts a war with Kilgrave and the race is on to kill him before he disappears again. There is one season on Netflix and they are working on the second season now. Plus David Tennant plays Kilgrave! 10th Doctor as a Super Bad! Yes Please!
Sherlock (BBC)
I think everyone has heard of Sherlock by now. If you have been living under a rock and haven't seen or heard of it, it is the BBC's modern-day retelling of the Sherlock Holmes story. Series 4 came out in January and I got it for my birthday this month. I really loved it! But I'll be disappointed if that was the ending to the entire show. It was really good but not a show's finale ending good.
BOOKS
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
I decided to re-read Harry Potter. The whole series. I actually haven't finished it. I had just started 6 last summer and never got around to finishing it. They are so long when you get to the later books and 4 was so hard to get through. (My least favourite book and movie.) New books kept popping up and since I'd seen the movies HP books kept getting pushed back. That is why I am a book before movie kind of gal but I had already seen HP1-4 before I started the books so I went ahead and finished the movies as I started the books.
I decided to re-read the ones I read so they are fresh in my brain when I read the last 2. I'm so glad I did. When I read the first one it was like I was reading it for the first time all over again. I re-watch the movies so much that they had warped my memories of the books. I'm so glad I went for a re-read! I'm already on book 2! I read Sorcerer's Stone in less than a week!
