I can’t believe it’s already November! October was a great month. Autumn is my favourite season which is probably why I can’t decide if my favourite month is October or December. I love autumn but I just love the Christmas atmosphere.
October is just such a great month though. I love the falling leaves and the crisp air. The hoodies, and sweaters, and boots, and beanies and scarves, and gloves, and hot coffees and tea. I just love it all!
I didn’t have too many beauty favourites this month because I was sick for the last two weeks but I some random favourites too. So let’s get to it.
BEAUTY
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nail Hardener
I love this stuff! It helped my nails grow faster. Like really fast. I love it! And it did leave my nails a little harder. I’m not sure it would be a good base coat though. It wore off the nail quickly. As for the hardening effects, it kept going for another 3 to 5 days after the coat wore off.
Sexy Hair HealthySexyHair Moisturizing Shampoo
I love this shampoo already! It has made my hair feel softer and less oily. With my old shampoo, my hair would get oily really fast. I have noticed with this shampoo my hair doesn’t oil up as fast. I’m already so happy I switched.
Sexy Hair HealthySexyHair Moisturizing Conditioner
I switched to this conditioner with the shampoo. My hair is so much softer and it doesn’t get oily as fast. I love their Healthy Hairline!
Bite Beauty Mix and Mingle Lipstick Duo (Limited-Edition Holiday Set)
I love this set! It’s such a great deal! And the shades are beautiful. I have Holly & Tannin and Scarlet & Mulberry. I love them both! Holly is a classic red with pink undertones and Tannin, Scarlet and Mulberry are dark berry shades. I love them! I love the formula! It’s soft and creamy and feels great on the lips! I love it!
Essie Nail Lacquer
I finally tried Essie polish and I love it! It goes on evenly, dries in about 4 minutes and wore for about 5 days with the Sally Hansen Double Duty base and topcoat. I love it! My favourite shade this month is Shearling Darling. It’s a beautiful deep purple berry with red undertones. It’s perfect for fall!
BOOKS
Username Evie by Joe Sugg (AKA ThatcherJoe on YouTube)
This graphic novel is so good! Joe did an amazing job of creating such a fun and beautiful world and characters. I’ve been watching Joe’s YouTube channel for what seems like forever and to watch him grow and create such a wonderful story is amazing! I am so proud of him. This book is truly great to read whether you are a fan of Joe or not. The story is something that everyone can enjoy. And the illustrations, by Amrit Birdi, are really beautiful.
This is Amazon’s summary of the story.
“The first book by YouTube star Joe Sugg tells the story of Evie, a socially-isolated teenage girl who struggles to fit in at high school. Always looking for a way to escape, she spends her nights supporting her terminally-ill father, who is tirelessly working on a computer program. When her father passes away, Evie is forced to live with her aunt, uncle, and cousin—Mallory—who is the most popular girl in school and the bane of Evie's existence.
One night, as she's going through her father's computer, Evie stumbles on a strange file that sucks her into a virtual world. As Evie explores this strange, new land, she learns it was the project her father was working so tirelessly on: a virtual Eden where Evie can get away and be herself. However, Evie is not alone; Mallory also discovers the world and her presence causes the idyll to descend into chaos. Now Evie must save the virtual world or lose her last connection to her father.”
TV SHOWS
The Walking Dead
I have loved The Walking Dead since my dad got me started on it while the show was in season 3. I am so excited it’s back! This season is already so good! I love it! I can’t wait for the No Way Out episode that is most likely going to be the Mid-season Finale. I hope it ends up better than comic books.
Supernatural
I actually just got into this one about 2 months before the new season started. The story line for Supernatural has been all over the place over the years but it’s still so good! This season is getting very interesting with The Darkness. I can’t wait to see where this season goes!
October was such a great month, until the end when I got sick. But I did get to go to the local pumpkin patch with my dad before it got me. They have a Christmas shop there too. It was so pretty. I loved it!
In the comments below let me know what you’ve loved this month. What fall shows are you watching this season? Are there any new books I should try?
