Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss | Review + Swatches

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss

Rimmel doesn't have much of a description on their site about this lipstick. Ulta's description says "Lasting Finish Lipstick by Rimmel London locks colour to lips for up to 8 hours wear. 50% more in colour. Soft, smooth, comfortable formula."

The Boots description says "Kate Moss brings colour to a new unique dimension. The gorgeous colour richness and comfort of Kate’s lipstick, now in a Velvety Matte finish. Ruby Powder enriched formula to intensify the colour while keeping a matte finish all day long! Matte is re-invented for the most velvety comfortable colour ever!"

So this lipstick promises to be soft, smooth, with great colour and matte finish. Both descriptions say it is a comfortable and long-wearing formula.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipsticks are available in the US for $5.49 at Ulta, $3.29-$4.99 at target and is also available most places where drugstore makeup is sold. It is available in the UK for £5.49 at Boots, Superdrug, ASDA, you can also find other locations in the UK on Rimmel's site.

Here is my experience with the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipsticks.

I had to try these lipsticks after hearing Zoella raved about them. And I'm so glad I did. These lipsticks are amazing and are probably my favourite lipsticks to date.

These lipsticks come in a great range of beautiful colours from pinks to reds, to berries to nudes. This line has beautiful colours with great pigmentation and a beautiful matte finish. I currently have 7 shades. The pigments are very strong and the finish is truly matte. I love the colours!

Swatches - from left to right: 06, 12, 109, 111, 10, 107, 11

(1st swatch photo with sunlight from a window and no flash. Bottom 2 photos with sunlight and flash.)

For some reason, they look a little shiny in these photos but I promise they are 100% matte!

107 is so beautiful! It is the 6th one in the swatches above. It is 100% my favourite lipstick shade! And 111 is such a perfect classic red! It is the one on the left of 107.

I personally haven't had any problems with bleeding. It applies with smooth lines and doesn't smudge or bleed.

The Ulta description says it has a wear time of about 8 hours. I've worn them for about 6 hours and there was barely any noticeable fading. It faded a little but it faded evenly.

As for how it wears it is smooth and creamy without being oily. It dried to give no transfer but it wasn't drying to the lips. It didn't really crease on my lips but it might be different for you.

It wears well in the hot weather too. It didn't smudge or flake or blot. It wore just like normal.

As for touch-ups, I take off my lipstick when I eat so I haven't worn this lipstick for more than 6 hours but I think around 6 hours you would need a touch-up.

All of the shades I own were easy to remove and didn't stain my lips. And they were easy to remove too.

I just love these red shades! Can you tell 107 (the red tube on the right) is my favourite?

Was it worth the hype? I bought this lipstick after hearing Zoella, and a few other beauty bloggers/vloggers, talk about it and it was well worth the hype. I fell in love with this lipstick the second I opened it!

Was it worth the price? Absolutely! No matter where you by it it is under $6/£6. It's totally worth the price!

I love these lipsticks so much! I didn't think I've ever done a lippie post without them. They are my go-to lip products.

They are smooth, soft, and creamy. They have great pigmentation and a perfect matte finish. They come in a great range of colours and are a great price!

That's it for this review. Thanks so much for giving it a read! I hope you enjoyed it! Have you tried Rimmel London's Lasting Finish Lipsticks? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
