"A long-wearing, supremely soft blush infused with Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun.
Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep the product in place while also hydrating the skin naturally to restore moisture, reducing the appearance of dry, flaky skin.
Product performance: This 12-hour blush universally benefits all skin types for a fade-free, flawless finish in shades ranging from soft to vivid and matte to shimmer to suit a wide variety of skin tones."
- Tarte Product Description
This blush is promised to reduce oil without making skin appear dry and to stay in place for long wear.
Tarte Amazon Clay blush is available for $28 at Sephora and on tartecosmetics.com and $29 at Ulta.
Here is my experience with Tarte 12 Hour Blush.
I got a mini of this blush as a Sephora Rewards b-day gift. I have been wanting to try this blush for a while so I was really excited to get it.
I'd heard it was soft and blendable. I was also really excited to try the exclusive Sephora b-day colour.
It is smooth and soft. It is well pigmented and blends well. I really love the Sephora colour. The Sephora one is matte and I love it.
I love the details in the powder. It is so pretty! And I've used it a lot and it still has the pattern.
It doesn't have a scent to it which is nice. I don't understand why so many brands put perfumes in their products. It always makes my head hurt.
As for the 12-hour wear, I've worn it for about that long and my blush still looked really good. I really loved it.
Originally I decided not to do swatches since this is a Limited Edition shade from Sephora for the 2017 rewards b-day gift. However ever since you guys asked when I was reshooting the photos I decided to take some.
SWATCHES:
The top is with sunlight from a window and no flash. The Bottom is with sunlight and no flash.
Swatch on the left is one swipe. The Swatch on the right is built up to show colour.
Was it worth the hype? I heard a little about this blush before I tried it. I think it lived up to it. It quickly became a favourite. I will probably be buying more shades.
Was it worth the price? Mine is a mini and I think it will last a long time so I think the full size will totally be worth the $28.
I really love this blush. It is smooth and blendable, has nice pigmentation and wears all day. I can't wait to try more shades!
That's it for this review. Thanks so much for giving it a read! I hope you enjoyed it! Have you tried the Tarte Amazon Clay 12 Hour Blush? What did you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
