Urban Decay's UD Beauty Junkies Rewards Program

In December I found out that Urban Decay has a rewards program. I was beyond excited. I'm am a member at Ulta and Sephora so I was totally up for joining another program for free!

I've done a post in the past about Ulta and Sephora programs. You might want to check that out if you aren't familiar with their programs. I will probably be referencing their programs a lot in this post, as I will be comparing them a little bit.

Like Ulta and Sephora this rewards program is free to join. You can sign up on UD's website.

Also, like Ulta and Sephora the reward system is points based. What is different is the way you can earn yes you earn a point for every dollar but you can also earn points without buying anything! That's right free points! You can also earn points through UD Reloaded. Here are all the ways you can earn!

So how do your points add up and how much are they worth. This is the exciting part.

Reach 100 points in a calendar year; get a $10 UD Kickback, Reach 300 points in a calendar year; get a $20 UD Kickback, Reach 500 points in a calendar year; get a $20 UD Kickback. Like Ulta, you have to build the points to get higher rewards.

And after 500 points you get $20 for every 200 points. But that is only with build-up. And there is no limit!

And unlike Ulta point don't expire in 3 months they expire at the end of every calendar year. (December 31st)

Keep in mind when you redeem points your cart total must be more than your total rewards points.

Sadly unlike Ulta, you can only use one kickback per order. However, you can combine one kickback with one promo/coupon code.

Like Ulta and Sephora you get a birthday gift! I only joined in December so I'm not sure if it is just a coupon or if it a sample size product like at Ulta and Sephora.

Also like Ulta and Sephora, there are levels of the program. UD, like Sephora, has 3 levels. You can see the list of perks below.

When you earn the points to level up you keep all the perks of the previous level and get a few more!

The base perks are amazing! Free Shipping on all orders! A birthday gift, extended return times and exclusive access to products!

You are level Obsessed from 0-199 points, level Freak from 200-599, and Rockstar from 600+.

Your level is based on how many points you earn in a calendar year. (January 1st - December 31st)

If you start the year at Obsessed are earn Freak by December 31st you keep Freak status for the next calendar year. Then the points are reset and you start earning again.

If you earn 200 points or more you keep Freak another year. If you earn 600+ points you are upgraded to Rockstar for the next calendar year but if you don't earn 200+ points by the end of the year you will be reset to Obsessed.

Here is an example from Urban Decay's site.

"If you earn enough points to achieve the Freak level anytime in 2016, you'll keep your Freak status (and associated perks) through December 31, 2017. If you continue to earn the points needed to advance to the Rockstar level in 2017, you will guarantee your Rockstar level (and its elevated perks) through 2018.

If you earn enough points to achieve the Freak level anytime in 2016, but you don't earn the required amount of points in 2017 to maintain the Freak level or to advance to the Rockstar level, your membership level will reset to Obsessed on January 1, 2018."

Well, I think that's everything. You can find UD's FAQs about the program here. And you can sign up here.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Urban Decay and their rewards program as well as other beauty rewards programs. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
